Snow. This is the type of snow nougat that is eaten in winter, longing for summer and its fruits. A source of vitamins in the coldest times, we know for sure that this nougat is of Arab origin: for its fine notes of cinnamon that do not cover the fresh flavor of marzipan with a touch of lemon, nor that of watermelon or pumpkin that we used to eat to cool off from the heat.
Its name also denotes its origin: in Iberian Arabic, “mazapán” (mahsaban) meant box, where this special product was kept.
In the past, we did not add preservatives, but the Sanitary Laws changed and for some time now we have added E-200 or sorbic acid. A preservative of natural origin from the berries of a tree called azarollo. Its duration was previously one month, now six months. Perhaps we have gained…
We make marzipan nougat with fruit in three formats: in large bar, small bar and in individual portion inside the 7 Portions Box.
So, you have six months to enjoy this cold nougat with a summery heart. What will your box or mahsaban be?
